1) Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to visitors to the Site; individuals who create or access mowPod Studio accounts as authorized users of a business customer; and creators/publishers who connect accounts or provide data for analytics and reporting. The Services are primarily business-to-business. Where mowPod processes information on behalf of a customer, that customer's own privacy disclosures also apply.

2) Roles: processor vs. controller

3) Information we collect

A. Information you provide directly

B. Information collected automatically

C. Information received from integrations you authorize

D. Information processed for analytics

Important: mowPod does not require, and asks that customers do not send, sensitive personal information (for example, government IDs, health data, or precise geolocation) unless explicitly agreed in writing and lawfully collected.

4) How we use information

We may also use de-identified and aggregated data to develop and improve our products and create benchmarks that do not identify individuals.

5) How we share/disclose information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your data for advertising or retargeting.

6) Google API Services Usage & Limited Use (YouTube)

mowPod Studio's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Our use of information received from YouTube APIs is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Data accessed: With your authorization, mowPod accesses YouTube Data API data (channel and video metadata, public statistics, and captions/transcripts) and YouTube Analytics API data (aggregated performance reports for your channel).

Data usage: This data is used exclusively to provide the mowPod Studio features you request — content analysis, transcription, reporting, and analytics for the channel you connect.

Data sharing: mowPod does not share, sell, or transfer YouTube user data to third parties for advertising or any unrelated purpose. It is shared only with bound service providers when strictly necessary to provide the Service, or as required by law, consistent with the Limited Use requirements.

Storage & protection: YouTube user data, including OAuth tokens, is protected with administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including access controls, least-privilege practices, and encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. OAuth tokens are stored encrypted and are never exposed to your browser.

Retention & revoking access: We retain YouTube user data only while your account is active or as needed to provide the Services and meet legal obligations. You may revoke mowPod's access at any time via your Google account permissions at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and you may request deletion of your Google data from our systems at any time by contacting info@mowpod.com.

7) Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and local storage to keep you logged in and maintain session integrity, remember preferences, and understand Site and Service performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may limit functionality.

8) Data retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Services and support customers, comply with legal obligations, maintain security and audit trails, and resolve disputes. When mowPod acts as a processor, retention and deletion are governed by the applicable customer agreement and instructions, unless a longer period is required by law.

9) Security

No system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and notifying us of suspected unauthorized access.

10) International data transfers

mowPod is based in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. and other jurisdictions where our vendors operate. Where required, we use appropriate transfer safeguards.

11) Your rights and choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise rights, contact info@mowpod.com. If mowPod processes your information on behalf of a customer, we may refer your request to that customer or assist them as required by contract and law.

12) U.S. state privacy disclosures (including California)

mowPod does not sell personal information for money. Where applicable, mowPod supports customers' instructions and lawful opt-out requirements consistent with our role (processor/service provider vs. business).

13) Children's privacy

The Services are not directed to children and are intended for business use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the age required by applicable law). If you believe we have collected such information, contact info@mowpod.com.

14) Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy and update the Effective Date.
